ES Instructional Coach
I have worked for Reeds Spring School District since 2002. During my teaching career I have taught second, third, fifth, and sixth grade. Currently, I am an Instructional Coach at the Elementary School.
I believe that in order for children to learn they must feel secure. Creating an encouraging, positive, and safe school climate is very important. A classroom should be a place where students feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them. Relationships are key.
Education is giving students the benefit of our own excitement to continue learning and encouraging them to seek knowledge. Enthusiasm is contagious. Children are naturally curious, and should learn how to be independent problem solvers.
It is important to involve parents in their child's education. Learning will be greatly enhanced when parents are included. Parent involvement will help in developing a responsible, knowledgeable, and caring individual.
Education is an investment in our community and country. It is essential that teachers, staff, and administrators strive to develop good skills, habits, attitudes, knowledge, responsibility, and citizenship in each student. I am very fortunate to get to work with our teachers to provide our students with a quality education. I love our school!
